3.0 Outside the Ring Road

3.1.1 - Background

       The network analysis ascertains the relationship between a future community on Burnaby Mountain and certain essential services and social amenities. The essential services considered were Fire Halls, Police Stations, Medical Emergency Centres and supporting emergency services. A community of the size expected to develop on Burnaby Mountain requires access to these services, and proximity is a factor in determining that relationship. Societal amenities that would benefit a growing population, including Grocery Stores, Banks, Gas Stations, Post Offices, Recreation Centres, Elementary Schools, High Schools, Malls, Restaurants, were also examined for their proximity to SFU. Questions raised are:
